23. How do I update my “Application Matching” preferences?

We will highlight your application to employers when you are a significant match to the job you applied to.

Your application will be tagged with either a ‘Top Match’ or ‘Great Match’ label if the match is significant.

This has been made possible with our new matching algorithm, which has been trained by observing real employers making hiring decisions for candidates who applied for vacancies across our entire website.

We carry out matching by comparing factors in your CV such as your skills, previous job experience, location, and employment status.

If you would like to switch this off, you can do this by updating your application preferences in your account as follows:

1. Log in to your account
2. Find your first name located in the top-right of the page, then click it
3. A drop-down menu will now appear
4. In the drop-down menu, press the ‘My account’ button
5. Your account will now load
6. Scroll to the ‘My profile’ section of your account
7. Find the ‘Application Visibility’ section of your account
8. Untick the ‘Highlight my applications to employers when there is significant match’ option
9. Click ‘Save changes’
10. Your account will now reload, and you have successfully stopped your future applications from being evaluated by our matching algorithm.

IMPORTANT:

If you opt out from ‘Highlight my applications to employers when there is significant match’ your applications will not be automatically evaluated. We will no longer be in position to advise employers on your applications matching.
